It's true that photography is my main love, but I've been working on a feature-length documentary for the last year and a half so I'm wanting to understand filming process better (it'll make ya head spin, I swear). I have a wonderful friend who is doing the camera work for it (on his mack daddy $80,000 camera) and someone else to do the final edits so I'm doing the less creative aspects of it - directing, writing, fundraising, etc. In any event, I'm wanting to start making some little films here and there so I can work on my editing and storytelling skills. Plus it's just a lot of fun. :)
Anyway... Wednesday morning (day before yesterday) I sent Caroline a note asking her if she wanted to do a little project - she said, "Yes! But I'm moving to LA on Sunday - can we do it this week?" Caroline is ridiculously talented. Truly.
So, I said, "How about tomorrow?" And that was that... We filmed yesterday morning and I wrapped up the final edit just after 4:00 in the afternoon. I love projects I can finish in a day: It's easier to stay in love with them because they don't kick you around as much.
The skinny about the video is on the link, so I won't bore you with it here.
Wish you were here...
